A doorway into Jewish life, opened with care.
A 30-week course for adults who are exploring Judaism or preparing for conversion through the Reform Bet Din. Learn the ideas, the practices, and the rhythm of the Jewish year in a small group led by local rabbis. No prior background is expected.
ואהבתם את הגר
“You shall love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.”
Deuteronomy 10:19People come to this course from many directions
You do not need to have made any decision to take part. Some students are early in their thinking, and some are well along the path to conversion. What everyone shares is a wish to learn honestly and a willingness to show up each week.
Exploring Judaism
You are curious about becoming Jewish and want to understand what the tradition asks and offers before you decide anything.
Learning as a couple
You are in an interfaith relationship and want to study together, so the home you build has a shared footing.
Filling in the gaps
You grew up with little Jewish education and want a steady, start-to-finish foundation rather than scattered pieces.
Preparing for the Bet Din
You are working toward conversion and need a recognized course of study before you meet the Reform Bet Din.
Thirty weeks, one topic at a time
The course meets once a week for 30 weeks. Classes are held online, and each session is recorded, so you can catch up if work or family keeps you away for a week. The year moves through belief, practice, history, and a first taste of Hebrew.
